| Your sunny patch | Kit that fits | Holding it down |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1.9m × 1.2m | Too small for our kits for now | Not needed |
| 1.9m × 1.2m or more | Patio Ballast Kit, Compact 460W | 18kg blocks by gust speed |
| 2.0m × 1.2m or more | Adjustable Stand Compact, 515W | The maker's figure for your spot |
| 2.5m × 2.2m or more | Big Garden Kit Plus, 1030W | The maker's figure for your spot |
| 3.7m × 1.2m or more | Garden Ground Mount Kit, Duo 890W | 18kg blocks by gust speed |
| 5.0m × 1.2m or more | Big Garden Kit Max, 1260W | The maker's figure for your spot |
Blocks by gust speed: 2 where gusts can top 40mph, 5 above 60mph and 10 above 80mph. Every kit also needs a weatherproof outdoor socket within its 4m lead.
Socket too far from the sunny spot?
The kit's lead is 4m long and plugs straight into a wall socket. Extension leads, cable reels and adaptors are a no.
If the sunniest spot is further away, ask an electrician to fit a weatherproof outdoor socket (IP55 or better) with RCD protection near the panels. It's an everyday job for them, and then the lead reaches.
